right as we’re not going to the netherlands i thought why not just go and see experimental jetset talk about their work on thursday 5 june 7pm, logan hall. its organised by d&ad and costs £8 for a non-member.

Experimental Jetset is an Amsterdam graphic design unit founded in 1997 by Marieke Stolk, Erwin Brinkers and Danny van den Dungen. Focusing on printed matter and installation work and inspired by modernism and rock culture.

What did you do on Friday night?

A bit more than a month ago we were meant to upload what we had been doing on a Friday night.That Friday, I stayed home, but the following Wednesday, on the 5th of December, I went to the opening of Black Balloon at Punk, the dress code was black. I don’t have any picture or video, but I came back with a badge. Jazz & Cartoons

Closest thing I found to what was, I guess, my first introduction to jazz, as a child. They use to air old cartoons in the evening on a channel called Canal+ in France. The show was called “Ça cartoon” and would feature jazzy-like scenes, like the 3 wise monkeys singing and clapping their hands, that kind of stuff. It was actually a bit scarry.Maxime
